Last month in Santa Barbara, a raging wildfire, known as the Tea Fire, destroyed more than 200 homes. In light of this tragedy, MKD has joined forces with Maienza Limited and Kennedy Wilson Builders, Inc. to offer innovative and sustainable re-building options to the fire victims. With the goal of working together to build a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Santa Barbara, we will be holding an informational session on sustainable and green building, entitled “ReBuild Green After the Tea Fire.” The session will be held December 22, 2008 at 5:30 pm and will include a discussion with my dear friend John Maienza, a nationally acclaimed designer and architect, and myself. Everyone is invited to attend although victims of the Tea Fire will be given preference in this limited seating engagement.
