I am really looking forward to seeing the Green Emergency Shelter / Container Housing at West Coast Green this year. It is to be on display at WCG show at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco October 1 - 3 (and I am going to be speaking there on Friday, October 2). I hope they are well designed, efficient and healthy.

I have always been interested in this concept of shipping to areas that need buildings fast. But, rather than sending temporary, unhealthy housing (Katrina temporary housing nightmares with FEMA trailers that made people sick), send good quality buildings that are meant to last, and use less energy in the way they are built and when they are used.
