Maybe your New Year’s resolutions this year had nothing to do with going green, but now Earth Day 2008 is here, which makes this the perfect time to make an eco-resolution that you will keep from here on out.
It can be something simple like recycling better or using a reusable mug whenever you stop into your local coffee shop. It can also be something more ambitious like a commitment to take public transit or your bike to work everyday or eating less meat during the week. Whatever it is, the important thing is that you make one.
Earth Day is a time to show our appreciation for Mother Earth by reflecting on the environmental challenges our plant currently faces and by taking action to help mitigate those threats. However, just because this day focuses our attentions on the problems facing our Earth, it should not monopolize them by being the only day of the year we all get into a green mindset. So go out and get inspired this Earth Day and then make an Earth Day eco-resolution that will help you celebrate our planet the other 364 days of the year.
To show you’re really committed to taking action, send us a video explaing what you plan to do this year to make everyday Earth Day. Visit our YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/michellekaufmann to share your video with us once it’s up so we can see for ourselves what you’re going to do to make this world a greener place!
