In honor of Earth Day, we recently hit the streets to ask a few folks about this fantastic eco-holiday. We wanted to know what the day means to people and how they intend to celebrate it. In response we got a few disheartening, “What’s Earth Day?” replies mixed in with a couple, “It’s that treehugger holiday, right?” responses. But we also heard some really encouraging answers from people describing Earth Day as a great day to take action on behalf of the environment; some people even told us all about what they’re going to do in celebration of Earth Day this year. Our adventure inspired us to see what else we can find out from people about their plans to go green – in video form!

So now we want to hear from you via YouTube, where we have a created a little video of our own documenting some of the Earth Day ideas we heard the other day. We’re also asking for any and all of you out there with a great idea for celebrating the planet, not just on Earth Day but everyday, to make videos of your own to share with us. So get your camera, get to filming, post your videos to YouTube by June 1st, and then send us a message telling us where to find your masterpiece. We’ll review all the submissions we get and then send the producer of our favorite video a very eco-friendly prize, a Solio solar charger, because we believe one brilliant green idea deserves another.
