Last year when we erected the first ever built mkLotus in front of San Francisco’s city hall we also had the pleasant task of decorating the interior. It gave us a fantastic opportunity to get familiar with some fabulous designers and their great green products. Patricia Baun of Maude Decor is one of those fabulous designers and her gorgeous hand painted canvas rugs are one of those great green products. Patricia uses low-VOC, water-based paints and sealers on the rugs, all of which are made to order, so no material, labor, or energy is used unnecessarily in production. The rugs are easy to clean using just soap and water (no toxic detergents or chemicals needed!) and all the packaging materials are recyclable. The rugs are available in various sizes and in so many design options that you’ll easily find one that’s perfect for any room in your house.
