green it yourself: eco bath rug
Posted by: Michelle on July 25th, 2008

Millions of tons of textile waste ends up in landfills every year despite all the great ways there are to recycle it. The best way to get rid of old clothing, linens, and rugs is to donate them. But for those ancient towels that have seen a few too many days at the beach or have been a part of your post-shower routine since college, charitable donation may not be an option. Instead, you can give those old towels a second life by turning them into a supersoft, oh-so-cozy bath rug. Your handmade bath rug will also serve as a lovely reminder of all those summer days spent lounging by the water…or maybe just how happy you are that you don’t have to shower with flip-flops anymore.
